VESSELA DYAKOVA

Vessela Dyakova studied piano at the Pancho Vladiguerov National Academy of Music in Sofia with professor Nikolai Evrov, who himself was a student of professor L. Encheva and professor H. Neughaus. Later she attended master classes at the conservatories of Saint-Petersburg, Prague and Weimar with Professor G. Halfin, Professor Ivan Moravec and Professor J. Halmush and studied organ at the Royal Music Conservatory of Ghent and at the Lemmens Institute in Leuven.

Vessela Dyakova gave recitals and concerts in many European countries. As a pianist she demonstrates great talent in her recitals with works of Russian literature, especially Prokofiev and Tchaikovsky. Also Flemish composers adorn her repertory. Typical of her full career are her multifarious activities as a concert pianist, organist, pedagogue and conductor. She taught at the High School of Ghent, campus teacher education. She is also a teacher at the Urban Academy for Music, Word and Dance in Dendermonde and organist in the Saint Anne’s Church in Lokeren.
